fn fal
The FAL (an acronym in French for Fusil Automatique Léger (translated in English: Light Automatic Rifle)) is a battle rifle designed by Belgian small arms designer Dieudonné Saive and manufactured by FN Herstal (or simply known as FN).
During the Cold War the FAL was adopted by many countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), with the notable exception of the United States. It is one of the most widely used rifles in history, having been used by more than 90 countries. Because of its prevalence and widespread usage among the militaries of many NATO and first world countries during the Cold War, it received the title "The right arm of the Free World".It is chambered in 7.62×51mm NATO (although originally designed for the intermediate .280 British). The British Commonwealth variant of the FAL was redesigned from FN's metrical FAL into British imperial units and was produced under licence as the L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle.

I have a FN FAL with a "carry" handle, but there's no mounting points for a sling. Can anyone recommend a universal device that will allow me to easily connect a sling to the rifle? I'd prefer not to have to drill.
Thanks!
As the title implies I have a new unissued FAL buttstock with stock metal and screws. I have had this since the 90's back when FAL kits and parts were cheap. Look at the photos but as I said new unissued there is not even a dent in this stock , and while the screw holes have been located I...
My saga continues with outfitting my new L1A1 and buying the wrong stuff . I just bought these 4 new mags after being advised that these would fit but it seems as though the metric mags are correct. These are too big to fit in the magwell due to the tab on the front strap of the mag. I would...
I bought this really nice stock and hand guard set for my new L1A1 inch rifle and then realized it does not fit my rifle. This seems to be for the FN Fal or DSA 58 etc. If you are interested I would just make sure your rifle has the same connections. I am not sure who made these but the fit and...

My Marine friend (there's no such thing as an ex-marine) and retired reservist bought some South American parts kits & we put these together. It's in great condition only fired 4 times 200 round through the machine. I thought I would use it more. It's too great a rig to be a paper weight. Pick...
