bench
The Queen's Bench (French: Cour du banc de la Reine); or, during the reign of a male monarch, the King's Bench (Cour du banc du Roi), is the superior court in a number of jurisdictions within some of the Commonwealth realms. The original King's Bench, founded in 1215 in England, was one of the ancient courts of the land and is now a division of the High Court of Justice of England and Wales. In the Commonwealth, the term Queen-on-the-Bench, or King-on-the-Bench is a title sometimes used to refer to the monarch in their ceremonial role within the justice system, as the fount of justice in that justice is carried out in their name.

Got out for some snow day training. Had to walk into a spot on Larch mountain.
Worked on shoulder transitions, weapon transitions, reloads, handgun draw, and retention shooting. *
The retention shooting felt very wierd at first, but seemed effective, and I didn't shoot myself!

'Ultimate Versatile Vise' dual axis la-dee-dah
OK, maybe still a little spendy, but at $80 plus another $25 for rubber jaw cups, (plus annoyingly another $15 shipping)
I'm hoping it will do what I want.
Ultimate Versatile Vise: Dual-Axis Bench Vise - Garrett Wade
....that's more for pistols than long guns.
Been looking at the 'Ultimate versatile' by Garrett Wade @ $100 + jaw inserts & shipping=over $150. Maybe I don't need a 2 axis capacity yet it seems so useful.

Stomper's folding work bench.
This is what I use when I want to set up a scope. I can take it and a folding chair just about any where. The "Split" rest is from the NRA Store. It's for AR's when you have to use an extended magazine. The wooden "doughnuts" are glued on to keep the rest from...

I'm looking as having a power tool head that also sets 10-90 inch/lbs seems really handy. A major supplier has them on sale for under $50 right now.
I bought a mechanical torque beam-lever style (whatever its called) for similar projects but don't care for the way it needs to be handled...
