Just bought a tandem bike for me and the wife to ride. Been pining for this particular kind for decades. I think I'll get a pintel mount for the back. That way can run around like the desert rats. You know, just in case some crazy attacks, or if suddenly need to do an SAS style assault on an enemy base.

Seriously though there are a lot of people riding gravel roads now. I think it's a pretty new outdoor recreation thing. Some of the rides they go for like 8 days or something. For something like that it might be handy to have a scabbard with a little bit bigger yet lightweight gun. There is room for it that's for sure. Maybe sbr size? Lightweight woudl be key. We don't do that kind of riding but some of those gravel road areas are pretty remote. Woudl be nice for hunting too I suppose.

My hunting buddy and I encountered such a group a couple of months ago. There were signs with directions that included the term "gravel grinder". Honestly, most participants didn't look like gun people, but maybe that's tough to pull off in spandex. :s0140: Seriously though, I asked my friend if we should tell them that our nickname for the road they were riding on is "Two Bear Road" because we was two large bears ten minutes/two miles apart on the same day. Sadly, much of the road system that was a part of the Gravel Grinder has been engulfed by that Emigrant Fire - over 21K acres and 0% containment as of today. :(

P938 is my first choice lately for lighter wear on short outings. Probably the best little pistol I've ever shot for its size! :s0155:

Man it woudl be priceless to see the looks on their faces as normal couple in blue jeans ride by with a 30-30 in a scabbard. Hell I might do it just for that reason! :s0112: When I was a real young kid me and my friends would ride our bmx bikes to the hills to go shooting. 10/22 on the handlebars no case or anything. Nobody ever gave us a second look. Different times I guess.

I mainly picked up this new little one as I like top-break revolvers, but I had some idea it might work for "going for a walk" type outings too. Though I'll likely stick with the other options for most times. Shown next to the diminutive .32 pictured in the original post.

Well, the weather sucks something fierce, and I'm working redonkulous hours, but I can day dream about day hikes. These two, with some appropriate holsters, are candidates for hiking piece:

A Transatlantic Romance. 🤭

More seriously, I've been enjoying shooting the Ruger on the left. It can safely fire .32 S&W, .32 S&W Long, . 32 H&R Magnum, and .327 Federal Magnum; the latter three have good loads available. The one the right I do enjoy shooting in garden, but isn't really a carry piece, but I've recently discovered a vendor makes a potent cartridge for the classic from 🇬🇧.

OK, I've rambled enjoy. Just glad it is Friday. Hope you all are having a pleasant one. ☺️

When I walk the dog. I usually carry my Glock 42.

But have been contemplating getting a Ruger LCP max or S&W bodyguard 2.0 in the near future.

Typically I will carry this in a front pocket ... LCRx in 22 Mag. Concealed will be a .45 cal in some variety.

For nearly every day I take my stacatto c2. When in gym shorts or something. Without a belt I have the bodyguard 2.0 which I have really been surprised with how well it shoots

Well, just placed an order for more .32 cartridges for the Ruger. Mix of .32 S&W Long, .32 H&R Magnum, and .327 Federal. Alas, SGAmmo has no little .32 S&W, but that is OK. And a black, leather holster, fit for hikes, from Barsony. (Wife decided to do dinner with girlfriends tonight. Wee ones and yours-truly are left to our own devices. Respective antics most assuredly well underway and I don't mean just those acquisitions. As before, the cautionary tale of leaving the wacky parent in charge. 🤭 )
