Well the dustup in Kenosha proved that all wrong.
Two DRT and another with a big azz chunk missing from his arm kinda dispersed a mob with the lowly AR.

There was an article a few years ago in Afghanistan I believe, an enemy combatant took a 5.56
in the butt and blew a cantaloupe sized hole out of his leg, shattered the leg and if it wasn't for our med team he would have died.
The whole butt cheek was a nasty purple color where the round entered.
Probably looked just like when a block of gel gets shot and it balloons out.
