In my experience, riding in the PDX and surrounding suburbs is like using unknown reloads in your gun.

You may never have an issue but more then likely you will someday.

I'm too the sports car or big truck wanting faze again. Reality is getting my wife's explorer in 4-5 years when she makes enough to upgrade to something else.

I've been riding for 30 years. Never been down. I recently picked up another road burner but I'm considering swapping it out for a quad. Times change, road challenges have escalated with idiots and cell phones. Problem is with a quad though, that it's a ceremony every time you want to take it out. Trailer it up, gear up, drive out, etc. Still, it's on my list.

I've been riding motorcycles for 48 years and have downsized but still get out for local/neighborhood putts. I agree, distracted drivers are making things too crazy on some roads.
