What kind of game are open year round or at least have long hunting seasons in Oregon? Just moved here from AK and I'm having trouble finding the open seasons/areas in the regs.
Thanks.
Cougars, must have a tag. European starling, housesparrow, rock pigeon and any mammal species for which there are no closed seasons or bag limits. However, all general hunting regulations and licensing laws still apply. Common unprotected mammals include coyote, badger, gophers, moles, mountain beaver, marmots, porcupine, skunks, cottontails, black-tailed Hare (jackrabbit), rats, mice, opossum, nutria and weasels. And don't forget feral swine.
all you have to do is look up the hunting regs on line or any place you can buy a license has the regs available free. There are charts in them showing seasons for game animals. Varmits and Predators are in the regs on line.
