WW2 Winchester M1 Carbine. Correct grade - Winchester Barrel and all Winchester parts. 5.6 million SN range. Last of the type 2 high wood stock. This was a transitional period from the use of the earlier type 1 and 2 parts to type 2 and 3. The stock is in great condition as well as the parkerized finish. It functions well. Who graded it or was it self corrected?

I don't know what you mean by self corrected. It has the correct parts that it should have for the SN according to the resources that I have. I'm not claiming that it is an "original", meaning these are the particular parts that it originally was made with as that is nearly impossible to claim. Correct parts vs correct grade is what I was seeking clarification on. When somebody posts or claims "Correct Grade" many will assume it came from the CMP. Self corrected is when somebody finds a mix master and takes the time to make it period correct with the right parts. That's all I was getting at.
