This is a great example of a post war rearsenaled M1 Carbine. Winchesters are highly sought after because, well they are Winchesters. It has the correct Winchester marked stock that still has the cartouche on the right side. The recoil plate is also Winchester. The trigger housing is Wincheater as well. The barrel was made by Saginaw Gear and has a nice shiny bore. Other parts are a mix as is commonly seen on rearsenaled carbines.
It has the common "upgraded" parts that were swapped out during arsenal refurbishment such as the bayo lug barrel band, flip safety, magazine catch and type 3 adjustable sight. However, the stock doesn't have a rearsenal stamp. There is no import mark.
Overall it is a nice little carbine. It has a 6 lb. trigger break. There are no cracks or even moderate damage to the stock. The handguard is an unmarked type 2. The bolt is an unmarked type 2 flat version.. The metal retains a nicely matching medium gray parkerized finish. The bore is bright. One USGI 15 rd. mag included.
