I love 'em. but had to deal with two skunks that were getting into the chicken house and eating the eggs.
Yep. I left them alone for 25 years. Then one ripped the screen off of the foundation and took up residence under the house. Phew, phew and pew, pew.

Driving to work a few weeks ago, I saw these two in my neighbors pasture. To me, it looked like the closest one was all but black. Probably one of the darker ones I've ever seen in person.

I got to work, texted my wife the pic with a, "Look at this!" She replies back a few minutes later, thanking me for sending her the picture of the beautiful sunrise and thinking of her. 🙄🤣

Kill them all on sight---buzzards and worms have to eat something.

Just to be clear---this one is just napping after having a hot lead shampoo. :)

Deal with your dog being sprayed just once and you might change your mind. I have chickens so deal with them often along with Racoons.
I quit counting years ago how many of each I have fed to buzzards, yotes, and worms. What I can tell you is that after years of me taking out these pests and severely denting/controlling the local population, we once again have a thriving quail population. So I will deal with a ground nest ever 2-3 years and continue to take skunks, racoons, and digger squirrels to the "train station". Opossum and tree squirrels get a free pass.

Ya ive probably killed a 1000+ over the 20 years i did removal for a living. Ive had their spray on my dog(more times than I can count) and dripping off my chin. Now that im not trapping they get a pass.....all squirls die on the farm

When I was a lot younger and dumber we used to catch young racoons and baby skunks to sell to a local pet store.
Now, I've got to laugh when I hear someone say they smell a skunk.
I tell them you haven't really been skunked until the air is so thick it's hard to breath and feels like you're under water.
*Note : Never crawl into a culvert after a racoon until making sure it isn't sharing it with a skunk. 🦨 :s0001:

Here's another little buddy on my property, Chip just showed up last weekend and I think he's nesting in boxes under my carport. Usually when he's not eating or exploring, if he's out to be seen he's standing color-guard on the flag when it's not flying. Tiny little thing, he's smaller than a computer mouse.

Tres hombres. Bad medicine. This Spring, around the house in Arizona. I found two, and the careful wife found this one this morning. Killed first two with garden tools because I could access the head. Used .38 snake shot today. Biggest was four feet and other two three. No hat bands or skins for me. Don't want to handle it. Dead rattle snake just creep me out. I've eaten when others prepared. Mexican friend used dried and ground for seasoning.
