In my 'hood the fawns seem to drop first week of June, and the big bucks show up first week of November.

Probably 8-10 years ago I saw more than one set of fresh, tiny deer tracks in late Sept. I never caught them on the trail cam, but was concerned of how small they were that close to winter.

Looks like one of my cats that jumped out of my truck when I was down there. He is very friendly and will come to you if you have some bloody meat. If you could catch him for me, I would appreciate it. I will even drive to pick him up.

Those guys on the other "First Day of Deer Season" thread make it sound like hunting is hard???

Herd of about 5 deer last night hanging out on the patio about 10 feet from my lazyboy I was reclining in, relaxing after dinner. Didnt see any horns of the 5 that walked by, but didnt bother to get up, too relaxed . . .

I wonder what would happen if i slid the patio door open and let loose from just inside the door with a round from the new Barrett M82A1? I've 'heard' the recoil is minimal? Anyone recommend a good .50BMG hunting load?
