I'm not interested in "doing something" for the simple sake of claiming to have done something. I'm only interested in what actually works. I measure every new executive order or proposed piece of legislation against past history and ask "Would it have prevented _______ shooting?" So far the answer has been universally "no".

The gun seller rule is existing law and blatant political posturing. The tweaking of the NFA rules are like the 7n6 ban and the attempted Ss109 ban. A thinly veiled attempt to harass gun owners since zero crimes are committed with NFA items and no cases have been cited of these projectiles being used against LE.

If you can't see that wherever the line in the sand is drawn, they will throw themselves on the floor like a spoiled child demanding you retreat and when you do they start the process over.

At one point the president noted concern over the apparent easy access to sawed-off shotguns and 'silencers'. Wow, this guy appears to get his 'facts' on gun crime from 70's and 80's TV shows. I'm willing to bet that he even believes that a suppressor on a gun actually makes it sound like they do in the movies. This guy is so far out of touch with reality it's sickening. And you're right, NFA items aren't the problem - and I think he does know that, which is why he goes after them in order to go after us.
