It has been years since I have messed with sighting in anything other than scoped rifles. My question is, on a standard open sight with the stepped elevator that sits under the "V" which way to adjust to raise the bullet placement? Do I need to "raise" the "V" or lower it to accomplish bringing the bullet up?

Thanks,

An easy way to remember:
- Align your sights to the point of impact, as if the rifle hasn't moved.
Thus, if you're shooting low, you need to raise the rear sight or lower the front.
Shooting to the right? Drift the rear to the left or the front to the right.
