I have this; with a welded breach. For all intent and legal purposes it is totally inert and safe. (though it would make an excellent club)That said, I wouldn't expect to take it to a liberal school without considerable hassle and maybe even arrest.

Everything is all about feelings, interpretation, and unhealthy fear these days. no ubiquitous laws, or acceptance, throughout the land, or even neighborhood for that matter. While you may be in the right, does not mean you might not end up loosing your house in legal fees defending it. The place I retired from, I was complained against by co workers for having a metal sign in my office with a gun painted on it and and the words "complaint department". My employer, did not make me remove it, and he is not a gun person!.But other places I have worked may have.
