Laying on the horn in a tunnel might shock me too most likely. I watch when I'm driving. If someone were honking steady in front of me I'd be seeing what's happening and be looking to make evasive moves.. No shock there. Someone honking behind me, not my problem because it's behind me.I will honk (if I have a train horn) or, with some vehicles I used to own (like my Ducati), use the exhaust to make a loud noise in a tunnel - but only if the tunnel is empty (there is a nice tunnel between Grants Pass and the coast that doesn't get much traffic on a weekday).
I hate the sudden extremely loud noise - it raises my BP and adrenaline because I expect something catastrophic to happen, like I strayed over the lane line into another, or someone else is going to crash. It can be enough to actually cause someone to crash.
I get too much of the morons with PURPOSELY, extremely loud, exhaust system here in the hood.
