Riding a motorcycle in city traffic makes one very aware of what's behind them, especially wen stopped. I almost got hit from behind by a drunk once. Fortunately I saw him coming and drove up beside the car in front of me. Then I followed that loser until he stopped and called the Sheriff. I was pissed and the deputy tried to explain that the guy was going thru "hard times". I told him that I didn't give a flying fork. That drunk about killed me...
He would have been going through "even harder times" had he hit you. Riding made me very aware of what's behind me. And that's before we got distracted with smart phones, social media and tictok…

I've had to escape more than once from an errant driver who was inattentive. Your driving a 4k+ pound land missle, give it the attention it deserves…

People on the road who believe keep right to pass does not apply to them, even when an '05 prius, towing a trailer with ATV (about 1100lbs) passes them on the right, up a hill...

I'll add another one to my previous list. How about unsecured loads on the back of work trucks, to be fair these examples were both back in Floriduh. Both times driving to work on I-75 one time a work truck dropped an extension ladder I had no way to avoid it and was able to run it over in my F-150 with no consequences but the car behind me hit it and got a flat tire and immediately pulled over, another time a work truck in front of me dropped a push broom and I seem to recall being far enough behind to swerve around/avoid.

Are you serious? I don't have the time to come up with the things that "grind my gears". I live in potland for Christ's sake!
Come spend a few hours here every day for a week or two, and you'll have my list!
I would rather slam my junk in the car door than spend a few hours there for one day, forget everyday for a week or two. I do not envy you, how do you do it?

A final success story.... My wife began to realize I was right all along with my mother in law in our house for 5 years now. So she agreed that she'll be moving her to her brothers apartment for the meantime.
I feel so relieved hearing this. :s0112:

This reminds me of one guy I use to work with. He went to the army at the age of 31. After 3 month got discharged by accident or health. He tripped on a banana peel while he was gobble festing all the food in the mess hall around 1:00 am. He sued the army for compensation....:s0039:

It should be 100% legal to trap them and hang their carcasses on your property line so the next thieves get the idea. It works for coyotes.

So today I drove into Portland to purchase a Pull Pal winch anchor, from a FB MP seller for about $250 less than retail. I've been keeping my eyes open for a used one for months. Thought I had snagged one.

Got to the meeting place and got a message the seller was running late, could I meet them closer to where they were? Well, ok - it was another 15 minutes, and I was beginning to suspect a scam, but I really wanted that anchor. So I got there and the seller is nowhere to be found. I sent a message saying I was there, and… crickets.

So I waited and sent another message. Crickets.

Sent another message, and after 30 minutes I see they are typing something in. I wait a few minutes and finally get a text that gives me some BS excuse about how here boyfriend decided to not sell the anchor.

Pissed, I drive home - 2 hours wasted driving, not including the wait.

GRRR! So I reported the item as a scam (yes, the item is still for sale on FB MP), and blocked her.

This was a first for me. I've had pretty good luck so far - until today.

Bummer!

However, realistically how much probable use would one be on the West side of Oregon anyways? High Desert, I could see. Sure.

Stuck in field? Dig & improvise I suppose.

Have a co worker who shops FB MP a LOT. Has snagged some great deals, but he has also had a lot of the same experience you had here. Dealing with this is I guess all part of trying to find deals.

I totally agree. However, if someone I have some pushy person rushing me to pull out I have been known to tale a few extra minutes in my parking spot. :)

People who request a technician to solve a problem and when I the technician tells them what the problem is, in short, I'm told im wrong.

Devolved to the point where I said a device that supplied power had failed, they disagreed, they turned on a device that was believed to use that particular power supply, I unplugged that power supply from the outlet and the device that was turned on, stayed on...

Am I the A$$hole?

I got my truck stuck in my back yard. My soil is such that the Pull Pal would have worked (if I had a winch mounted - at that time I didn't have a winch, and if I did, I could have used a tree as an anchor - but there are places where the anchor would work).
