From the reports I saw neither the soldiers or the audience (what little audience there was) looked very enthusiastic.
Well, reports (typically MSM) of course are going to downplay ANYTHING Trump related however I actually watched the whole thing and while it wasn't anywhere the 250K as some said it still appeared to have a pretty good showing of spectators.

I believe the weather may have had a lot to do with it as it was raining off and on with the threat of thunderstorms.

You can beat your chest all you want, but the estimates I've seen range from 30-50,000 in attendance and the videos of it all show sparse crowds, empty bleachers, and no enthusiasm.

I think the $25 million to $45 million could have been better spent on the soldiers rather than on the parade.
As a (retired) Financial Analyst I am always extremely skeptical of "Cost" figures reported by the Media. The Soldiers got paid whether they marched in the parade or otherwise. Hardware was employed and fuel burned whether it was at the Parade or on maneuvers. The True "Cost" of anything is what we call "Differential Cost" which is the difference between what was going to be spent anyway, and what the proposed project requires.

About 16 million of it is costs that wouldn't have happened to repair the roads from the damage caused and preparing the roads ahead of time.

Here is a factoid Dems/Libs don't know about or deny. Any lie to try to make Trump look bad.

Approval for the parade recognizing the 250th anniversary of the US Army was approved by the Biden Admin. Just happened to fall on Trump's Birthday.

Officials have told Reuters that the planning for the Army's 250th birthday celebration started last year - before Trump won the November presidential election.

Seems like that's something a bunch of folks have probably known about for a while now but decided to stay quiet about just to keep the controversy going.

Here's the permit application check the date.

There was a modest event planned to be held on the national mall but Trump expanded it greatly.
