Once you factor in shipping you will be pretty close to the price of a 10/22. The local Bi-Mart has synthetic stock ones on sale this week for like $169 or $179.

The synthetic stock ruger 10/22 is $179.98 this week at Bi-mart. Last week the wood stock version was $169.98. This has been typical sale pricing recently and happens fairly regularly.
