Louis L'Amour had several stories in which his protagonist used the Walsh to good effect. After bad guys, Indians, shoot-outs, "he" still had another cylinders worth n hand despite the somewhat puny caliber.

I've handled one, pistol is made well, looks so different from any other gun seen prior. Vid does a decent job educating us into a very small part of manufacturing history.
