Floyd Prozanski Denies Tipping Off Special Interest Groups
The February 6th hearing on the gun control bill was not officially posted until Feb. 4th. Even as of Feb. 3rd, the Republican members of the Senate Judiciary committee had not received any information on a Feb. 6th agenda. Yet, on January 31st, anti gun groups such as "Moms Demand Action" and "Oregon Alliance To Prevent Gun Violence" were already posting facebook events for the hearing. How did they get advance notice? Judiciary committee chair Floyd Prozanski denies tipping them off, even though there's no one else who could have known the agenda. The anti gun groups refuse to answer questions, and immediately go into victim mode claiming "intimidation" when being asked about this.

58% Of Gun Denials Unaccounted For, Police Break Privacy Laws
On the heels of the Oregon state senate judiciary committee hearing on
the proposed gun control bill regarding background checks, it appears
as though the Oregon State Police are already violating state law,
just as gun owners have feared, by sharing information that is
supposed to be unavailable to the public. Furthermore, using the anti
gunner's owner numbers taken from OSP, it appears as though 1242 of
the 2151 firearms transfer denials are due to reasons other than
having criminal records or history of mental illness. So why were
these people denied?

SB 1551 Conundrum: PTSD? Suicidal?
What happens if someone is suffering from PTSD or depression, and they
feel as though they should hand their firearm over to a friend or
their psychologist for safe keeping? Well, if SB 1551 passes, they
would have to administer background checks in order to make the
transfer. Good luck if they're having their break down at 2:00 AM,
when everyone is closed and they can't make the transfer. They would
have to make criminals of themselves and their friend by passing the
gun off without conducting a background check.
