Using cars to break into shops

This happened in Sparks NV. People used a car to break into Sparks Black Rifle and did. They took a few guns and were in and out in just a few minutes. Then I read that they tried the same thing at a pot shop and all they did was dent the wall and total the car. Never made it into the building.
So which is worth more pot or guns, and why is the pot shop more fortified than the gun shop?

Probably not by design. The pot shop, which are relatively new and on a fairly tight budget, picked the cheapest old building in town.

That building was probably erected when they really built 'em stout.
