Ups lost another package after paying them $180 to pack and ship it

Heads up, even having ups packages things themselves they are losing packages at a record rate. I guess it's internal theft but who knows. I hope we don't have to take them to court to get our $180 plus the value of the item shipped. Be careful what you ship with ups. I think FedEx is much worse though actually.

Damn shame but, a LOT of places are still struggling to find help that is not worthless.
I pay for almost EVERYTHING with plastic for just this reason. You either get made whole or the bank will just make you whole again.

That is a good question. Had not noticed that at first. I know shipping a damn gun with them next day air can be COSTLY but damn, that is high ship rate there even if they packed and shipped.

Assuming you and your buddy are serious?
Do the two of you have any idea what it would cost to start an entire new shipping co that shipped and delivered across the entire US? Have several billion dollars you want to throw at doing this?
Again the real world way to not get the short end of the stick here is pay the correct way. If you use plastic, credit card, the seller is responsible to make sure the item you paid for is delivered to you. The bank does not care about "excuses" if the item does not arrive. The item payed for gets to the buyer or buyer gets his money back. Why so many want to do back flips and hoop jumps to pay some other way then cry? Is just beyond me.
