Well, if I had to pick:

1. M1911, .45 ACP
2. S&W M1917, .45 ACP
3. Luger P08, 9㎜ Parabellum
4. Webley, Mark IV, .455 Webley
5. Mauser C/96 "Red Nine", 9㎜ Parabellum

With an honorable mention to the Webley-Fosbery (.455 Webley), because it is far too wacky for lack of a mention, and it appeared in The Maltese Falcon (1941).
