Older video but a good one to refresh on.

The discussion is when do you reload?

When gun fails to fire from empty magazine or when you feel the urge...

My favorite idea was to use only the last 2 rounds as tracers, so when you see one, you know your mag is empty but your rifle still has a round chambered. Just insert new mag and keep going. No fiddling with doohickeys and no "wasted" ammo.

When do I reload... ? It depends...
When hunting I re-load before moving up to downed game...
When in a firefight as needed...what that "as needed" looked like , again depended on the situation at that given time.

Counting shots...
Fire two reload two..as in the case of a tube fed shotgun..
Fire till empty , then re-load..
Shoot until the threat goes away , then re-load...
And a whole host of other methods ....
Are all good and usable at various times...

Like anything related to "gunfighting" ...you gotta do what is needed to survive , that is the only "wining" here...It is best not to get "stuck" on using only one method of carrying , shooting , re-loading , etc...when you need to shoot to save your life.

Fun training. You and your buddy load each other's mags for the maximum amount of difficulty on a stage.

Example, El prez, 1+1 in the weapon, 9 in the second mag, 1 in the third mag.
This will require you to solve problems while trying to get accurate hits as fast as possible.
