He say all this as if the Deep State cares about legal consistency. Selective Enforcement is their entire modus operandi; if SCOTUS says that all sanctuary laws fall under the same judicial logic the Federal Government will still enforce those laws as they see fit (and as it conforms to their leftist ideology). Sure, they will make all kinds of excuses for why they are providing unequal enforcement, but there will be unequal enforcement nonetheless.

This guy also missed the marijuana angle too. The Feds say they can enforce federal laws against the states whenever they wish to, they just have a policy that says they have bigger priorities and the "weed issue" is being ignored until they see fit to not do that anymore.

The only way this is a win for us is if SCOTUS says that these state sanctuary laws (immigration, guns, drugs, etc.) are legally permissible. Any other answer will keep the status quo; leftist policies will be allowed to continue and other policies will be crushed under the federal boot.

And yes, I know that such selective enforcement will undermine the rule of law by killing public confidence in judicial equality. That too is the point, the left have been trying to undermine our legal system for decades as equality under the law is an anathema to tyranny. The more damage they can to to public trust in the judicial system the better it is for them.
