You'll find cap and ball Colts, rim fire S&W and others in your budget on Gunbroker.

A 51 Colt Navy should be the first choice for a Civil War revolver, followed by the 1860 Army and 1861 Navy models from Colt. A Model 2 S&W rimfire is another nice civil war period revolver.
