I have been looking at his also, to many damn choices!

It's not that I am cheap, I just start thinking of the other things I could buy for my other guns that are more practical. Like I need to order a holster for my SP101 and that will be about $100 or more.

Hell I paid $120 for the holster for my 1911.

I think you have to admit it kinda sounded that way.

You know how to solve that problem buy more guns then you can buy more grips

if you cannot cut a small slot in it, to get a straight blade screwdriver on it, I've had good luck with these. They have 2 sharp edges that dig into the stripped area pretty good.

Did the JB weld and sacrificial bit ever work?

Owning and having owned a Remington 700TMR in .308 Winchester, with an 8.5-25X Leupold Scope, well, I really don't have any interest.

Left hand drill bits always work and never cause any damage (other than to the screw)
At some point it will bind and unscrew the screw,
They aren't particularly expensive

Havent read all the posts so sorry if redundant, but anyone working with screws would be well served owning a set tools like these:



Way better than the old square or slow taper easyouts and no searching for the exact bit for the job.
Just a thought.

That would have been next but it ended up working, I do have a set of these but not as small as this screw was.

It did, if you go back a few pages I posted a pic of it this morning.

Yeah it is but when you see all the work that goes into making a real quality handmade holster it is worth it. This guys work is the best I have seen, so much better than an off the shelf holster like Galco or Desantis.

Learned something new reading this thread. I never would have thought about using JB Weld to grab onto the stripped fastener.

I know man if I could do great leather work I would but I can't so I use the only leather work I can take money out of my leather wallet
