Hey Im not spamming or trolling or anything. If this is against the rules Im sorry I wasnt sure so just delete it...lol. I stumbled across this social media site earlier today and thought it would be cool if it took off. Its for gun enthusiasts and such. Lets see if the link works

Man I have to say- having 70+ subforums is just a mess though, it really should be cleaned up some imho. Would be much better off having sub-forum of semi/revolvers for example, then having a sub for every gun manufacturer.

I totally agree. I seen that and was like wow...lol. They definitely have a lot of work ahead of them. Its still brand new. theres like 50-60 members I think so far. Maybe all the different sub forums is an attempt to make it look busy or something? If you have tips for them the guy that calls himself sniper43 or whatever runs the show and is pretty cool. Im sure he would dig any advice...

This is taken directly from their splash page:

"This site is for all gun enthusiasts, from beginner to expert covering topics like hunting, recreational, tactical, Competition and self defense. Whether you're into shooting, reloading, buying, selling, gunsmithing, we got you covered."

I'm already a member, HERE. All those things are already covered, HERE. Why would I want to join another forum when all those things are already, HERE?

Since the mods haven't seemed to care I'll throw out- because it's being set up/run by a Eugene/Springfield area person and having more info for us southern folk is great!

If I wanted to find another gun forum, I know how to google.

Lame

Its not just a forum... Its like fb for gun enthusiasts. Also has aspects like gunbroker, youtube and blogspot and then yes it has forums as well..

I wasnt trying to "steal" people away from NWFA. I think supporting firearms activity's in general is worth at least a small effort so I posted this to make people aware there is another opportunity to show support...

Even if this new site only reaches 5 people and gets them interested in 2A it was worth the effort in my opinion..

As opposed to this website?

Whatever overblown hype you want to accredit to that website, all you're doing is promoting the competition.

You're posting on one NW oriented social media website that focuses on gun owners to advocate the usage of a different NW oriented social media website that focuses on gun owners.

It's like handing out honda flyers at the toyota dealership across the street.

Poor form.

Its not opposed to this website. Its along WITH this website...

I obviously like it here and was just sharing something I thought was cool. If you dont like the other website thats fine and dandy. Dont go there.

I respect your loyalty. Thats a quality you dont find very often these days.

I dont feel that nwguntalk is really competition to this site. For a couple reasons. #1 its more like facebook and #2 NWFA already has 150 times the members and is well established.

In my opinion its more like handing out John Deere flyers at the Toyota lot or something.

Im sure if NWFA felt threatened by the site I posted about they would have already killed this thread...

I agree that this should not be a threat to NWFA. There have been many times I have read or replied to all the threads here that interest me and I go to another forum and do the same. Sometimes its a firearms fourm sometimes its a survival forum and sometimes its my Facebook account. I still come back here and check out new threads here quite often. Belonging to another forum does not make me never come back here. The Honda analogy is wrong as well. Cars cost thousands of dollars to purchase and these forums are free. I am WAY more likely to join multipul forums than I am to go buy multipul cars. With that said, thanks for the OP and I will check it out. I will also be back to NWFA because I like it here. Just my opinion folks. Be well.

D.
