Program traders don't even have to react to bumps and bruises in the markets; they have automatic settings for sell/buy. By the time we bumpkins hear about it, it's ancient news. Even if we heard about it right away, by the time we got to the coin store, it would be over.
The big boys all use algorithms. It's almost instantaneous. And they are dealing with such large sums of money that even small moves make them millions.

Look at gold tonite. Somebody is winning big and somebody on the other side is losing big. Twice in one day!

Another sale!

LCS opens in 45 min, silver currently 21% off.

Apparently, this is due to the appointment of Warsh as the new Fed Chair. Found the following take and I concur. Will still continue buying:

" Did the appointment of Warsh undo the 40T$ debt?

Make Silver suddenly abundant instead of more consumption than production?

Can he create sufficient silver for COMEX futures thst are due for delivery in March?

Will the Fed now start printing silver dollars?

Will the price for silver 1 oz silver coins from the US Mint now go down from the current $169/oz coin?

Does RIC now decide to use the USD for trade again?

Are the chinese and indian people thrilled by Walsch and now partying?

Will there no retail bottom buyers come out now come is down 10% but Shanghai premium still $25? .. "

🤔

We own/run a jeweler casting company, and use a lot of silver casting grain. Our supplier, AAA Precious Metals in Portland, has stopped buying gold/silver until further notice.

dropping like a rock this morning! OUCH!!
I did have to laugh when I checked this morning and saw that. I am sure any time now we will see someone posting a youtube video of some "expert" who wants to tell everyone how smart they are. The places that have been buying have got to be sweating this. I feel good that I got out while the getting was good.

Can't blame them the way the price is dropping. Suspect the place I have been selling too is scrambling right now. They can't sell here and doubt they want to put out more money now.

Took a lunch break from work, saw that there was this unannounced 40% SALE ON ALL SILVER, and so immediately went to buying more ounces!! ;-)

I did make one 'luxury' purchase of some premium silver, that I think this forum may find cool- 18 oz's of Rhodium and Gold Plated Silver Bullet Multi Pack! 10oz .50BMG, 2oz .308, 4oz 12g, and 1oz 9mm pure silver bullets, plated in gold!!

You know, to handle the continuing flow of werewolves we are seeing around the compound . . . ;-)

A coworker went to buy some silver on his lunch break today but the local dealer (pawn shop) was still asking yesterday's prices, almost. This was NOT in the Stayton area.

When it was going way up several reported being offered WAY under. So makes sense that some places will try to sell at WAY over what its going for now. A LOT of people pay zero attention to what is going on. A lot of them probably have a smart phone in their pocket and never bother to use it to look. :s0092:

Not just silver. Everything took a hit today - silver, gold, stocks, crypto. It's part of a bigger picture. Looks like a scramble for liquidity.

Don't want to disappoint you, so here it is. LOL

A purely technical analysis of what happened today and an explanation of why the bull market is not over. But don't watch it, because I'm sure you'll have some friend going to a coin shop tomorrow who can give you the skinny. ;)

I'm glad you can rationalize that. It will help you cope as you clutch your handful of ever shrinking fiat currency.

Ok get ready for a good drop ! Those who just got in at $100 will panic and sell the market will be flooded and the prices will be sub $50 within a month . This does not even factor in the rich folks that sold off a bunch when silver reached it's historical high and made millions .
