It is awkward to load a rifle while the plunger is sticking two feet out of the gun, or completely pulled out of the gun.

Not really - have you ever done it?It is awkward to load a rifle while the plunger is sticking two feet out of the gun, or completely pulled out of the gun.

I'd buy a .357 and a .45lcHopefully more calibers/models will follow.
Would love to have a lever-action carbine in .45 Colt that I can trust; unlike my Remlin.
Me too - the 38-55 was a 'shocker' as well.I was shocked to see it chambered in 35 Remington
I agree - never owned a rifle in the caliber but always thought it would be great in a Sharps or High Wall.38-55 is a great cartridge and still available factory new
I will agree on this as of more recently with what what seems to be an effort by Henry to throw out more rifles in a shorter period of time than nearly any manufacturer in history.Henry's are poor quality
I had a gate loading .22 once and it'd bend all the bullets when you loaded it.
Not really, lol. I do prefer the drop in loading actions over the thumb pinching kind though.
Mine was a marlin model 60. Never got into speedloaders for it but did occasionally load like 25 in the tube with the charger not home and shoot it uphill until you could seat the charger. My first gun ever was a Browning BL-22 Grade II lever action that had the loading tube. I didn't mind it. Never shot myself unloading it or anything.
I wonder if those would take "Marlin only" loads. One in .45-70 would get my attention.
Henry rifles can use buffalo bore ammo so why not?I wonder if those would take "Marlin only" loads.
Does BB only make marlin only loads or the three power levels?Henry rifles can use buffalo bore ammo so why not?
