Super neat-o. I do so like handy carbines in .44 Magnum. 'Gratz.I have a marlin sporter in .44 and its a sweetheart.

My wife took a hankering to the all-weather .45-70 and we got one finally. I also have a Browning BLR Black Label Takedown in .308. I took all the tactical stuff off of it and made it into a hunting rifle but it's still "modernized."Getting a little collection going I guess. Added a Henry All Weather in 30-30 and finally found an 1895 SBL I could afford.
Not sure why I'm drawn to these "modernized" lever guns, but I still want more.

First year for the 336 model, which replaced the previous Model 36. Really a nice rifle!Marlin 336 30-30 I've been working on. 1948 model. Had never been serviced other than essential cleaning and had collected some rust. Replaced the firing pin and gave it a deep cleaning the other day.

Nice find!Since my OP in this thread (#484 on 05/26/2021) I have added one lever gun to my collection. It is the companion piece to one shown in the OP - a Model 94 NRA Centennial...

This one is unfired, with hang tag and box.
Adios,

You still looking for one?Old family friend picked up one in .375 in '78. It was his Elk hunting rifle, but I'm sure he used it Deer hunting, too.
He noted recoil was a bit more athletic than the .30-30 version.
After he died, his kids got the gun. Not sure if they still have it.
He put a 1X scope on it and him and my dad both noted it was a bit weak.
1.5X or maybe even 1.75X would've been better.
Dad went with a 2.5X Bushnell Phantom on his .30-30 and it was too strong.
Check your PMYou still looking for one?
I have one too, slicked up for competition. FYI, if you need some brass I put some Starline brass on the reloading classified thread yesterday for a good deal. I have about thousands and probably never go through that much in my lifetime, a guy can reload Starline 32 H&R forever. - so selling one of my new boxes of a 1000.I have a couple of the Centerfire Marlins that load like a .22 Rimfire. They're in the .32 H&R Magnum and they go nicely with the Ruger Vaquero(actually a Fixed Sighted Single-6) I have in that caliber! They make Shooting Rabbits and Squirrels a great game.
