Lol ok.
Tell someone not to get offended when they were initially offended. Shouldn't I be the one saying calm down or "oy vey"? Lol.
Money is a construction of power. Stating it's a fascist ideology or comparing it to a Stalin thought means little to the history behind monetary systems. Since humans earliest days values have always existed on certain things, like physical strengths, hunting abilities, etc. Not until monetary systems were created, did things like wealth and poor become realities.
But hey, don't get offended by my statements!
Even these stories of people doing clearly dumb stuff, 30 year prison sentences and biological terrorism charges, WTF?
If anything a day or two in prison and fined for the groceries destroyed.
A month ago if you knocked over a few racks of wine on accidentally or intentionally, you wouldn't be charged with 30 years in prison.
That would be nice. I run outdoor power equipment. I use radio when I'm on the road or doing hand work.
This country has LONG had a LOT of mentally unstable people roaming loose. This is what the voters decided they wanted. Now with the news going wall to wall with this a lot of these people are finding a way to get the attention they crave. So a couple of thoughts.
First off why would someone want to hurt others. Most likely they are broke, lazy, mentally ill, and finally Satans helpers.
Second. Is that a robot?
Massachusetts shoppers tackle man after allegedly coughing, spitting on produce amid coronavirus outbreak
A group of Massachusetts shoppers tackled a man and pinned him to the ground until police arrived after reportedly catching him intentionally coughing and spitting on groceries amid the coronavirus pandemic.www.foxnews.com
Me and the psychiatrists I work with are giving this as our first line of treatment for anxiety.I've told my Mom and every other person I know to turn the damn TV off! I've even quit visiting Foxnews.com, it's all bad, all the time!!!! Tune out!
He was not a terrorist of course. They are charging people like this with a law about "Terroristic threats" to try to scare the "I need attention" morons who want to put it on media. Like the licking ice cream. Since I have not heard this moron was filming himself doing it he was I am sure one of the kooks they let roam loose now. The kind that need to be locked in a hospital but are now allowed to roam free.I think we need to be careful what we call terrorism. This guy was most likely a nutcase, but most likely not what I would consider a terrorist. I have seen no evidence that he was trying to promote a political agenda.
I disagree, but on a more fundamental basis. Before money, wealth was still a thing. It might be conveyed in an abundance of raw goods, ie a large herd of cattle or something, but it is wealth, perhaps in a far purer sense. Money is shorthand in a non-fiat currency. (Since 1964 things have changed, but most of human history is backed by this.) It is an agreed upon medium of trade no different than trading 40 bushels of grain for iron and steel. In fact, some of the earliest bronze age currencies shaped in the shape of the animal its value in trade was indicative of. Needless to say, the price of a bull in bronze is not very pocket friendly.Money is a construction of power. Stating it's a fascist ideology or comparing it to a Stalin thought means little to the history behind monetary systems. Since humans earliest days values have always existed on certain things, like physical strengths, hunting abilities, etc. Not until monetary systems were created, did things like wealth and poor become realities.

Sometimes I wonder if some just like to tell others that they are smarter than others. Also a form of wealth vs poor.
But I'm apparently uneducated, living paycheck to paycheck, and now have zero reading comprehension.
Love how we all turn on each other when we simply do not agree or have different understandings.
@bbbass I wish you the best. I hope this CV virus isn't affecting you in negative ways. I know I'm on edge. At this ppint, I think it be best we agree to disagree and move on. No sense in any sort of back and forth that won't change anyone's views on things, and is simply a pissing match over who might know more or needs to educate the other.
The ones filming themselves doing it so they can post it are sane. They just need constant attention. Those are the ones who should have to pay for the damage they cause. They do it because the norm is all their life they have never had consequences for the stupid crap they pull. Their "attention" should be them in some kind of forced labor earning money to pay for what they damaged.But,,,.,I would think not all are nuts. I would guess some are jerk offs. We've seen plenty of those since trump took office....
Speaking of full blown crazy people going nuts.
I guess the Banks Vernonia Trail is closed. The parking lot is marked that it is closed, but zero mention of the actual trail being closed. It is, but I didn't know this till we got home. People were on it, so I figured we would ride our bikes anyways.
On the way back. Some crazy is yelling at everyone. "TRAIL IS CLOSED, IM CALLING THE POLICE, YOU ARE TRESPASSING!!!"
WTF. It's not like everyone was walking 2" apart.
Meanwhile the golf coarse parking lot, visible from my house, is jam packed.
Differences? IDK.
People are turning into little informants.
Many have pointed out that this is the only place in the world where the #1 health problem facing those in "poverty" is being obese to the point they have all kinds of health problems from shoving too much food in their face all day.You guys have brought up a good point. I think of poverty as a static thing - the lack of food and shelter. It's astounding to me that a person who owns a car, cell phone, and TV and lives indoors can be considered poor. You're not poor. Poor doesn't mean "not rich".
