It might be worth noting that this firearm might come with legal ramifications. I do not know if they were ever manufactured in the "firearms" configuration, rather than the "shotgun" configuration, but if it ever provably had a stock on it that will be an issue. Also OAL looks like it might be a problem here too, at least in the current configuration. You might want to have a qualified individual check it out.

I own a JC Higgins Model 20 shotgun.
I have been informed that it is NOT a High Standard model 200, although the Model 20 was designed and manufactured by High Standard, for Sears, due to a request by Sears to have a specialty model built for them, to use as a house model gun.

Right, which is why the current configuration looks, uh, problematic to me. Granted I am not there to put a tape measure on things, but from the photos I can say I have questions.
