I remember that... a surplus store I frequented had blue plastic barrels full of sks and mosin rifles for cheap. I don't remember them being $40 to $75, but $79 to $150 was pretty common.

I told them it was worth $7-800. The next day when I came back and saw it priced for $500 I took it.
