Well if your standard of better overall living includes your freedom to own guns then moving away over this is hurting your cause. Gun owners need people to stand up where they are at.

No, that's not the reason. It was a rhetorical statement. I have been planning to move for other reasons. I do and have stood up against 941, not by just saying I do, but actually being involved with our represensitives via email.

Would be nice to know if our Oregon politicians were bought and paid for by outside sources, Bloomberg ect.

Hard to believe that anyone thought their testimony would matter.

It's on record and now as talking point to convince people the recalls are more than Justified. They refused to put it to a Vote by the people as it would fail like Measure88 (DL for illegals), also promoted by Val Hoyle.

How in the heck this Californian transplant via Boston ended up in Politics pushing her extreme progressive agenda here in Oregon is beyond me. Oregon has become a Progressive magnet I guess. They have really taken over the Democratic party and in turn Oregon.
If you want a moderate in Oregon we still have the Republicans I guess. If you lean Conservative you are SOL.

Stand up and what? Go cry to the politicians? Like they care at all. They want us here to be labeled as criminals. I'd rather see a mass exodus out of Oregon (and thus the tax dollars go bye-bye) or the forceful removal of these politicians from power. Sitting around thinking that we can use their rigged political process against them is naive.

You might be willing to concede the state, but many of us won't do that. I don't care if I spend the next 40 years fighting these idiots. It's my state too. And you could never, ever convince enough people to leave that they would even notice an impact. And even if you created a vacuum, it would be filled with more liberals. Running away isn't the answer. Waking up the people that have been asleep is a much better answer.

I admire your willingness to stick-it-out, but how is convincing people going to change things? They can just keep piling on the illegals, letting them vote, rigging the mail vote system, things like that. We're never going to outnumber them, and even if we did the political process is rigged against us. So, what's left then? Partition the state? Revolt? Something else?

Heh, heh, heh! That leaving the State stuff might work for an older fella like myself. When I find a place to move that the progressives haven't ruined yet, I'll have a little time left to enjoy the peace, and be long past caring or dead before they arrive in any numbers and muck it all up!

You younger Guys/Gals won't be able to out-run the scourge so easily though. At the pace the Progressives are moving, the places you all might have in mind as an escape, will be Californized before your kids graduate High School, maybe even Elementary! By the time you reach retirement unless they are stopped now, no place will be free of them!

I understand a tactical retreat but the Battle isn't over in OR. just yet. I think people are just waking up and getting involved. They are beginning to understand the progressives are exploiting and exaggerating social and environmental issues to gain power and push a socialist agenda.

Yeah, you younger guys need to pick a spot, dig in and fight somewhere. Oregon seems split down the middle now.

I understand your sentiment and frustration but if the strategy is to go somewhere else what will you do when that place enacts gun control? Really, where are you going to go Idaho? Bloomberg is not going to stop with Oregon. When you give up what you have to your enemy he grows, Washington became the 11th, Oregon will become the 12th state to enact gun registration for all sales do you think its going to stop here? Enjoy Idaho for now...
