It's very close to matching fps and energy numbers of the 44 Mag. Very close. The 41 mag is an interesting little round. Not quite the 44 mag recoil, but more kick to its step than a 357.
That has been my wish since they introduced the 69 as well.If S&W would just make this one in 41 Mag, too. It's the L-Frame Model 69 in 44 Mag.
I'd probably give up my 686 for one.

You're right, you should buy one. It's very close to matching fps and energy numbers of the 44 Mag. Very close.
I kept the dies, but nothing else. I do have a bunch of H110.You're right, you should buy one.

They do, as the Mod 57.If S&W would just make this one in 41 Mag, too.
57 is an N-Frame. 69 is an L-Frame.They do, as the Mod 57.
Yes, this I know.57 is an N-Frame. 69 is an L-Frame.

I've nearly bought one of those to match my 57 about 17 times.
Yeah, not even close. However, the Colt isn't ~17 GRAND better!AND one can probably find a Ruger BH .41 mag for a WHOLE lot less - and probably a better gun.
Probably, but Elmer Keith had a hell of a lot to do about it as well.I have often wondered if the movie 'Dirty Harry' killed off the .41 and rocketed the .44 to stardom.
I recall reading one time, long ago, prior to the movie S&W had only sold 2000 Mod 29 .44 mags, then shortly after the movie had orders for like 200K of them.
