Running low on 9mm bullets and I'm snowed in....kinda

I have been wanting to try 357 bullets for 9mm as alot of 357 diameter bullets have a cannalure but 99% of 356 bullets do not, can you use jacketed round as well? I see that Corbin makes a cannalure tool but thats quite a chunk of change just for a cannalure vs buying hornady xtp's.

You don't crimp pistol rounds that headspace on the mouth.. the 9mm is one of them.

I buy .357 dia. bullets for 9mm/38/357 and I have Lee push thru sizing dies to reduce them if needed.

Some 9mm guns have tight chambers and fail the plunk test with .357 dia. bullets.

I push all new cast/coated bullets thru a .357 die too, for consistency, and it only takes a few minutes to do a box of 500.
This is for cast/coated bullets, and even some jacketed, I'm not sure it would work for plated.
This way I don't need to stock 9mm AND 38 bullets.

Of course I have slugged the barrels as I only started shooting jacketed bullets again about three years ago (when priced of jacketed and cast lead were so close that I simply bulk ordered a bunch of jacketed). Before that, for about 20 years all my 9x19 guns were fed a steady diet of cast bullets of 0.357-0.358".
My guns all have groove diameters of 0.355 to 0.356", except for one BHP that is 0.359" that I haven't fired in about 20 years.
Makes no difference.
You look at how small 0.002" is and the fact that the bore/groove dimensions for .38 Spl and .357 Mag is so close to 9x19 and .38 Super?

I often shoot those little 102gr Lee's and stuff unsized at .360 out of 9mm's no problems.
Ant to keep stuff easy for me, I use small rifle primers for my pistols and rifles.

Looking for 357sig which kinda headspaces on the shoulder and without a compressed load or a nice crimp bullet set back has been substantial.
