Decided to swap my optics on the 12" 6.5 Grendel SBR that has old Oly Arms stowaway grip.

Tasco ProPoint Japan 30mm red dot with Low Weaver mount, on B-Square carry handle Weaver rail. Yes I mounted the sight farther forward than normal, in order to get a better two eyed sight picture.

This lights a fire under my bubblegum.....
Nice, d0od!

No batteries needed...go bag guns so i dont have to worry about optics not being ready to go. 10.5" built around a criterion barrel and ripcord ldr1 handguard. Good ol' aero on the rest but a acog mini on top. Then theres the g19 with the dual illuminated rmr.

That's an image that's likely to get used a lot in the future.

"Yeah, but it was out of the Bay, further out in that open area....somewhere...can't remember exactly" :)
used to take new girlfriends up there on my motorcycle and have early morning coffee over a fire with that view
got caught in a early snowstorm in Oct '79 in that campground
was on my 'ol '73 BMW R75 - in the snow
drove up to Kings Beach and got onto the freeway up there
I 80 had been closed down due to the snow on both sides, but they didn't bother to close the on ramp north of Kings Beach
went down the freeway drifting across 3 lanes of traffic in the ice and snow
was so cold, snow was building up on my cylinder heads, but I was tucked in behind my full fairing and fortified with Bacardi
pulled off for coffee half way down to Sacramento - walked into the mini mart and order 2 coffees and added rum
the attendant then asked me "what about your girlfriend?
I looked out and saw her bluejeans had frozen in the snow and she couldnt get off the bike
gas station attendant and I had to carry her in and put her by the wood stove
needless to say, she didn't go out with me again

I wanted to add:
years ago I put a JP low mass system on it - adj gas port, low mass carrier and low mass buffer
still had a rifle spring in it
so over the last week, I attempted to find out how low I could go with the spring and still function
in the end, I put a Tubb flat wire 300 BLK CARBINE spring in this rifle
turned the gas port down as low as it would go

functions fine with 55 and 69 gn loads
locks back on last round
ejects to 3 O'clock

I think it's softer than a 10/22

My 50 shades of FDE build
- SOLGW lower, BCG and 13.9 barrel
- SLR 13" handguard
- ALG ACT with JP enterprises springs
- Surefire 4 prong Flash hider
- B5 furniture
- Modlite
- A5 buffer system
- Eotech EXPS3
