It's time I introduced ya'll to The Twins who are both Rat Specific in .223 Rem and 20 Practical (20-223).



Both have:
Gibbz upper receiver
Aero Lower
24" White Oak Barrel
Dirty Bird SMRS (AR15 Discount) Handguard
LaRue MBT-2S Tigger
Athlon Argos 6-24x50 scope
Magpul CTR Stock with Urban Rifleman Bag Slider
Ergo Grip
Anything else came out of the parts box.

The .223 can manage .500" groups with the 50 gr V-Max, and the .20 will do .310" groups with 32gr V-Max. So far I have not been able to get clean groups with the 40 gr V-Max from either.

Awesome! I have a few oddball combos of FDE/OD/Ranger green/Sniper gray mismatches, but no same-color mixed up shades.

My little work horse. Shot a bunch of varmint and TONS of steel with this bad boy. Probably most accurate AR I've ever seen/shot/owned even with steel cased ammo this baby shoots 1 moa on its worst day.
Build list from top to bottom:
YHM R2 30 cal. (Rc2 in prison right now)

Stream light on Haley strategic light extender with cloud defense pad (run a surefire when I go out to smoke animals in the rain just to be safe)

Barrel is 11.5 criterion hybrid or core I don't remember.

Aero adjustable gas block

Geissele MK 16 i bought a 15 inch and cut it on a band saw to like 11 inches.

Exps4 on unity tactical booster or whatever it's called and back up pop ups by magnum

Noveske BCG head spaced to barrel

DD upper receiver with radian raptor SD CH

Law folder, geissele tube with geissle braided spring with H3 weight

Radian ADAC lower with CMC trigger (best lower on the market IMO)

Ok thats pretty slick I'm currently looking for 30mm scope mount in red for my lvpo. Any issues you've found with your set ?

No issues with the ones I have, other than this rifle needs a much better scope and trigger than what is on it now.

I searched around trying to find where I got these mounts because it has been several years since I did this build. Anyhow, ran across this place, and I think I discovered a couple more things that I need to buy!

Finished these two budget builds this week.

16" Dissipator with:
A2 entry stock made by a member here.
Triangle end cap quad rail
Chinese KAC rails (very close copy)
Stern QD stock mount (a little wiggle in it)
*Still need to get a 37mm launcher

10.5" N23 or type build (XM177 for now)
(*N23 once I can get a 7.5" A2 upper)
*Still need to get a 3 prong FH
DTT A1 grip
KAK mini M4 buffer tube, KAK mini buffer
(Used a standard flat wire buffer spring and simply counted the coils the "proprietary" KAK flat wire spring used (28-29)
Lastly the AR180 N23S mini M4 pistol brace

I'm an AK guy. Started with ARs when I was new with guns then I moved to AKs.
Def. a big "tactical" AK guy..
But i'm a big retro AR guy

A1/C7 mixed bag upper on a Aero Prec. M16A4 lower
Got an A1 pistol grip coming and an obligatory aluminum 20 round mag coming!
Hoping to also chop the barrel to 16 inches and rattle can it

Got rid of all but 3 AR's, this one is my favorite. 6.5cm, criterion barrel, stainless gas setup, jp buffer, 4.5lb combat trigger, Huxwrx 7.62 HXQD can, Leupold scope. Dead nuts accurate at 300 yds. Fun shooter, super quiet.
