Well, while we're venting. How about lazy-*** mofo's take down or update their post when they sell what they've posted!!! People don't want emails on stuff they've already sold.... Here's an idea... UPDATE YOUR POST!!!! That takes even less effort then posting pics!!!!

I don't get the people that say pictures are for serious inquiries only...

maybe you'd get more serious inquiries if you'd post pictures!

I will give my further opinions about this subject but only if you are serious about hearing them. Please PM me with your email in the title so that I can add pictures but only if you are really serious about listening..........

When you call a store for a particular gun and ask if they have it do you ask them to send a pic? Call Keiths and ask for a Kimber? and ask him to send you a pic. Whats the big deal? I bought five guns on here w/o pics and I take people at there word. You will find out anyways. Relax if you have that much time to get pissed off with no pics you need to find something else to do.

Scott

PH you bought mine with no pics and it came out better than described. Thanks, if people are honest you should be happy.

Hi Scott, I will agree with you in this instance but we did 'talk' about it. If I can't 'see' it then I really want to talk to the seller before I decide ..... and Yes, you treated me great on that deal.

'You' are one of the very few exceptions for me ...

Same here Randy, The majority of the peolple are honest and then you do get dirtbags that lie. I see people that cut and paste pics from gun broker. So you really don't know what you get till you see it.

Randy I will buy anything from you on word alone and a few others on here as well and you all know who you are.

A gun shop is different... because you can basically walk in at any time during business hours and handle the gun, inspect it and so forth and then decide whether you want it or not. Additionally, most guns sold on here are going to be used and so it's all the more important to be able to see it before you buy it... all of the NIB guns may look the same, but with used guns pictures are important because condition is a bit of a subjective matter. What's excellent to one person may not be to another, or what one considers "minor finish wear" may not be so minor to someone else.

Well, not all of us always have a camera handy or share it with other members of a family so it's not always around. Also, people like me are sometimes "computeretarded" and can't figure out how or are using a computer so old that I'm lucky if it works at all and it might not like attatching pictures that day (don't ask me why). Is it really that hard to send a seller an email when the ad says "email for pics"? I guess if someone is not willing to send for the pictures (when that is all thats available) they realy aren't that serious about buying the gun. I have gotten MANY deals on craigslist because people have no imagination or are to lazy to go look at something that is not brought to them in four color pictures. Remember before the popularity of internet forums when we all bought guns out of the paper or nickelads from tiny little black and white ads with 15 words or less?
I for one will agree that a jackass seller with an "I'm better than you" attitude, no price and a "you better be serious" and "not waste my time, no tire kickers", etc. lines in the ad is realy annoying, and should be ignored. But have some mercy on the regular polite ads with no pictures, especially if the ad offers to email them to you!!!!!!!!!! (It just might be all they are capable of)

Heh, lucky you.

Pics are important when the market is so tight. People expect to get exactly what they pay for.

No photos?
I don't even read the ad.

My two-cents on no photos:

1. The firearm is not in their possession.
2. They do not want to post a photo because they are unsure of the weapons orgin.
3. Visible condition or cosmetic flaws.
4. They don't realize that a good photo call sell the firearm in minutes.

mjd.

A picture does paint a thousand words though. I know someone who bought a very popular pistol once. I think he thought it was new and never fired. Well it looked real nice on the outside. But upon closer inspection when he showed it to me, there was a chip inside. Hmmm I wondered. I asked if it was used at first but he said no. I compared it to one I had for 30 years and shot over 1000 rounds through. At that point he could see the difference.

Well I won't really name the manufacturer or the store he bought it from just in case it was a simple manufacturer defect. But he took it back and I was glad. So looks really are deceiving if you ask me. Look at and inspect it even if you pick it up brand new and from a well know store.

No, but why should I? That's the real question. My time is worth something, why do you want me to waste it waiting for your response and pictures?

I guess if someone is not willing to send for the pictures (when that is all thats available) they realy aren't that serious about buying the gun.

I can make a similar statement about including pic.s when you post the ad. Do you really want to sell it?

Remember before the popularity of internet forums when we all bought guns out of the paper or nickelads from tiny little black and white ads with 15 words or less?

I sure do - it sucked! We also used stamps and envelopes, got 3 channels on our TVs, shared a phone line with your neighbor, used an adding machine, got your porn from a magazine, listened to music on 8 track tapes, got directions from a map, wiped your arse with corncobs, blah, blah, blah.......

I figure if there's no pictures the seller's probably hiding something.
It's easier to sell something if the buyers can see it - "Sales 101" .

My unsolicited, yet frank opinion.

The thing that really grinds my gears is when people posts photos,
but have a distracting watermark in the middle of the photo, placed over
the exact spot or thing I am trying to look at.

Ouch :s0131:

BTW the ad is fixed...no watermark....I just found it annoying finding my photos on other sites with someone I don't know trying to "sell" them....not sure if they just couldn't take their own photo or WTF was going on....anyway....
