We go after NFA '34, that does put a big hurt on GCA '68 in the bargain.

Also, we need one on the '89 Import Ban, on last year's EO targeted at screwing over peolpe like @Velzey and home/hobbyist smiths, one to impose Commonsense ITAR Reform... but we need to take the best start we can get, and keep coming back to refile the others. Best to focus all our efforts on one or two solid blows at a time rather than scatter across a bunch of little pokes, focus on landing one punch, then another, and so on.

You guys DO know there are TWO petitions right? Make sure to sign BOTH the 1934 and the 1968 NFA repeal Petitions!!!

Actually, there's a bunch of firearm related ones. I checked last night. Here's the ones I found (looked through the entire list, as of last night):

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/repeal-nfa

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/repeal-1986-hughes-amendment

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pe...-own-piece-history-undo-executive-order-13637

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pe...arreled-rifles-sbr-national-firearms-act-1934

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/we-people-want-see-constitutional-carry-america

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pe...bans-california-and-restore-peoples-2a-rights

https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/california-gun-laws-are-unconstitutional

Maybe this should be a separate thread? If a moderator things so, feel free to move it to a separate thread and/or if others think so, let me know, I'll delete this and make a new thread (for potentially more visibility of these petitions).

If you do start a new thread, just Copy-Paste--or ask a Mod to split that post into a new thread of its own. Keep "First Expiring" to the top of the list, then move Successes for Response and Failures for Refile to new sections at the bottom.

The other thing we need to do is pick one target, or at most one Primary and one Secondary, to focus on at a time, as noted above. :)

Thanks, I signed them all

Yeah! We are now 4286 signatures OVER the 100,000 needed to get an official response from the white house (that's supposed to come 60 days from now*). That said, keep 'em coming. Still 8 days left. :)

On a less exciting note, there's also a lot of stupid ones that are over the needed signatures too. ;-)

* From the WhiteHouse.gov web site: "Once the petition reaches the required threshold, it will be put in a queue to be reviewed by the White House. Others can still sign the petition while it is awaiting a response. When the White House responds, everyone who has signed the petition will get email from the White House to let you know that we've reviewed and responded to the petition."

Thanks for putting the list together! Signed them all.

Thanks for putting the list together! Signed them all.

No prob. :) BTW, I've created a separate/new thread specifically for this list that I'll try to keep up to date as I see new ones. I thought these links might get better visibility by having their own thread, instead of being found on page 3 of a thread about one specific petition. :)

Here's the new thread (and I added one additional link in that thread so far, plus dates for each link on when the signatures are due by):

Oh, check out this draft I put together on an Amendment meant to give 2A some teeth:
Neither the Federal Government, nor any State, Territory or Subdivision thereof, shall make any law impairing the right of the individual Citizen to keep and bear arms, including particularly but not exclusively those in common military and law-enforcement service. All previous Acts by any Federal, State or subsidiary Government in contradiction to this Amendment are immediately held null and void, and any such Act passed, or attempt to enforce said voided Acts, after this Amendment's ratification shall be construed as Deprivation of Rights under Color of Law.

Now we need to get somebody to introduce it through Congress or Article V...
