But China gave a stern warning on Thursday that it would take strong measures if U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan and said such a visit would severely impact Chinese-U.S. relations. Today we hear that she has the Covid-19. I think this maybe a convenient political off-ramp from her visiting Japan/Taiwan and angering China.
