I would call/email Patriot and see which (probably )dry lubricant they suggest? Graphited is good, in general. Precise locks need dry lube as the tiniest grit can cause them to malfunction. Cheap, loose locks need the friction reducer so that parts that might bind will slide smoothly.

Company out of business. Have used graphite infused aerosol

I see some locksmiths recommend flushing the lock mechanism with an aerosol cleaner, then using Medeco "Poxylube" - which I have used on Medeco key locks with good results.

Welcome Aboard. Glad you found the forum.

This is the best place to hang out on the internet.

I know that you're not in the Oregon/ Washington area but we've found the best way to meet the community and learn where and how to use public lands responsibly is through grass roots involvement.

If there isn't a local group that advocates for responsible stewardship of public lands, check out Trash No Land.
