Greetings All,

This is a brief follow up on the Civil Unrest Thread.

I fled my home last night as the noise level was unbearable. I called 911. In my opinion the dispatcher was unprofessional. Unless there was violence PPD will not respond.

The noise level was not permissible under city code.

Let me ask you if a group of people showed up next door to your house and were blasting music for hours and in small groups walked around your neighborhood in a perceived threatening way would you feel at ease?
Perhaps you needed to create the violence.

If they're playing music outside of my property and during daylight hours, I'll leave it be. There could be some kind of violation with the city regarding permits for large gathering of people but nothing I'll worry about. And if they want to walk around the neighborhood, there's nothing with it either.

Now if they start trespassing into my private property, or continue with the loud music at night during quiet hours, we're going to have a problem.

I live in my home county. My roots go back over 65 years. The same Dr. that delivered my son delivered my grandson. And I drink beer with him several times a month. It is not a matter of "roots". It is all about what bubbleguming bubblegum are you willing to put up with.
I have a double Masters, but when I finished school at UW I couldn't get out of Seattle fast enough. And that was 40 years ago. If you continue to accept/put up with bubblegum like this, it is 100% on you.

Right, gotchya. My fault.

Since response time for an active shooter can be as much as 1.5 hours, don't expect police to respond to anything unless it's very major and 4 or 5 different people call. They did come for one armed carjacking that myself and others cornered the perp ina back yard. A homeless man beating a naked petite woman (fortunately yelling at him was enough to stop the attack), another carjacking, and a lady attempting to break in several businesses and houses the police never came at all and that is after me and city employee both called on the beating one.

There is a giant shortage of officers and it's getting worse as more retire or leave. Who can blame them the way police r treated here?

Protect you and yours and that's all we can do. It's not the cops fault. If some of these idiots here had their way there would be no cops at all. And that only means violent gangbangers would take over everything. Our forefathers worked so hard to settle this area and also many died fighting for our way of life. I don't know why these a-holes want to turn it into another Mogadishu.

And before someone chimes in and says "you voted for this" no, I did not. Our voting choices for mayor fe were between an incompetent weakling with no values and a catastrophically bad choice who was an outright antifa member.

Right on man. Unfortunately I have to stay here for now due to family but man do I want out.

Welcome!
Regarding education, bringing shop and vocational classes back would be a positive. However, can we do it without the woke crap? The agenda in Oregon schools these days is to turn out hypersensitive gender confused garden nymphs these days it seems.
As far as the ribeye... Circle of life. It's always good to be at the top of the food chain.
Cheers. :s0160:

This was brought home from a friend's Seinior in Highschool daughter last year. No wonder they are confused.
