OR to WA Firearm Transfer Question

I'm considering doing a trade of a long gun I currently own with a forum member for a handgun he currently owns. I'm a WA resident and he's an OR resident. This would be a face to face meeting at an FFL and I know we'd have to do paperwork on the handgun. My question is, do we need to do paperwork on the long gun too? Also, would we have to go to a WA FFL for the handgun and then an OR FFL for the long gun?
