I decide to take out one of the safe that hasn't seen daylight in a while only to find I have exactly 2 rounds.

44 mag was the first caliber I reloaded and it's probably the easiest, rimmed and straight walled.

8 hours vibrating in walnut makes them sparkle.

I'm making a light load. Some really old Speer 200gr HP's, 11.5gr Unique and a large mag primer. It should work out to be about 1250-ish fps.

It's probably the most productive thing I've managed to do all day.

My second choice was Bullseye (out of what I can find here). I use that mainly for 45ACP lead practice loads though and it might be a bit quicker burning.

The load comes from a recent Sierra data book so I didn't just make it up.

I use W-231 for my lite loads in the .44 mag something like 8.5-9.0gr with a 240gr bullet makes my buddies 4.5" blackhawk shootable.
