Correction. Democrat demise was in 1964.

And the Socialist/Marxist/Communist Party took it over in 1968 full bore to what they are today, and the people that call themselves Democrats ...mostly have no clue to what they have become because as the frog sits and boiled to death so did the people that remained in that Party. The RINO portion of the republican party are the same except in what they call themselves.

ARRRGGGG......MY EYES.......MY EYES !!!!

We must SUE for that one. Blindness isn't funny................................:s0077::s0098:
At least a blanket party to the perp that put that there..............................................................:s0040::s0077:

HOW IN HELL DID SOMEONE LOOK AT THAT LONG ENOUGH TO PHOTOSHOP IT EVEN...........

Reality isn't hysteria and neither is history. I would suggest you learn your history and see what happens to populations that are brainwashed into thinking education and unions are bad.
Education isn't good just because it's education. There is a quality component that you're ignoring. Not all education is good, and not all levels of education are good for all people/students. The notion that it is, is a myth perpetrated by teachers and their unions.
No one said that education should be gutted anyway. As a matter of fact I've already said it can't be undone.
But we can stop the "one size fits all" crap that better serves the few.
And we can stop the silliness that is Common Core.

By the same token Unions are in the same boat. Not all unions are good. Furthermore, the worker should be given the right to join or not, and have a greater voice in where his/her dues are spent politically.
Public sector unions are particularly bad in that they donate heavily to get their favorite pols elected, and six months later are at the negotiating table requesting payback for their election money. The office holder repays that help with taxpayer dollars, not his/her own, and the cost of government spirals out of control.
Any city/county/state on the verge of bankruptcy has that tale to tell. Try Orange County or Stockton CA, or Detroit for instance. All union strongholds with huge Dem majorities.

I've lived through most of the history I'm talking about PP. I was around when Kennedy went down, and LBJ signed the CRA. I lived/struggled through the Carter years and experienced his "misery index" trying to feed myself and build a family.

You're the one that needs the history lesson PP, because it's obvious the education system you're touting has failed you.
But then again, that doesn't surprise me.

Every time I see or hear anything about that skanky bat-s░▒▓ crazy commie slag I have the uncontrollable urge to toss in my Wizard of Oz DVD and watch Dorothy drop a house on the Wicked Witch of the East a few times.

Hasn't she already been president for two terms?

As for all the bickering about Republican this and Democrat that, please, for the sake of the Republic, consider the possibility that they are just different sides of the same corrupt coin working together to further a common agenda by polarizing The People in to numerous factions and setting one against the other.

That said, and after a lifetime as a registered independent, I re-registered as a Democrat last year. It affords me the opportunity to vote against Hillary twice (since I can now vote in the Democratic primary) - and I don't have to be dead, a cartoon character, or live in Chicago to do it. Think of it as Guerrilla Politics. :)

It is the same with gun rights. One side gives the 2nd amendment lip service to win single issue voters...but then does nothing substantial to support them once in power. Neither sides want the people to have any power.

There is one huge difference between them though PP, and that is that the Democrat party actively and aggressively pursues gun control on local, state and national level. Can you point to any time where a large group of Republican politicians pushed for tighter gun control? For limiting our rights? Sure there are some that have colluded with the Dems, and just a few Dems have stood against it. But overall, the majority of Republicans leave our gun rights to us - they're not actively pursuing the restriction or even outright removal of those rights. The Democrats are guilty as hell on all counts when it comes to that.

So, since your earlier comment was that both sides are bad in general, then why not vote for those that are not actively trying to take our 2nd amendment rights away?

1. Non-firearm political discussion is prohibited.
There are many different people here with many different opinions, ideologies, and viewpoints. Like religion, discussing these issues here is likely to offend others or cause division within the community. We need to focus on the topic that brings us together, not issues that are all but certain to divide us. This rule applies to the site in its entirety.
