I'm looking for some information with loading Nosler's 70 gr RDF bullet in a 1-8" Tikka .223 Superlite. I'd like to shoot out to 700 yards or so and the published BC is .416, which interests me greatly. I loaded 24.5 gr of TAC at various seating depths but got inconsistent results.

I have Varget and Benchmark to try. Anyone have a good load using these powders?

Thanks,

P

Good question. I've got a few of these bullets myself. I'm sure if you called Nosler they would be more than happy to hook you up.

I tell you what, I've had more than a few successes using IMR 8208 XBR.

Normally I don't give away certain information like that but I've got more than enough lbs of it to hold me over for several years. :D

Varget would be a good one to try, IMR 8208 xbr is also very good with heavy bullets, it's my current favorite for 77 SMKs.

Tac is pretty good stuff but for best accuracy stick powders are usually best.
