Very nice of you to LET your wife get you that. Lol. I'd actually be interested in the details of the one she got you because I think they are a pretty great defense/deterrent and the various loaded mags makes a lot of sense.
This is a stock photo as the Wife insisted the one she ordered be wrapped up. :D
I only heard of them due to Byrna. Saw they were making a rifle version of their pistols and when looking at them found they were these Tipman markers with their name put on them. Should be a LOT easier to harass the Raccoons with as I will be able to actually aim with sights instead of how you use the old style markers.

Tippmann TMC I believe.

I have a different tippmann but it has a bit more power, lol. Tippmann M4-22.

A lot of Tippmann markers have been rebranded for less than lethal.

A good one is the TiPX pistol.

First trigger pull punctures the Co2 cartridge, so you don't have to leave the system charged hoping it does not leak.

I have and often carry a Byrna pistol that works like that. Pull pull lets the CO2 tank go. So that way they can be ready for as long as needed no leaking. Have one kid who is VERY anti gun and refuses to have one. So when Byrna finally got their act together bought one for her. Tried it out and liked it enough to buy a couple more for me. For this marker I bought what I wanted was one that uses compressed air since I already have that. The marker Wife bought me can be used with CO2 but also uses the same PCP tank my Sig PCP pellet rifle uses. So when I chase off the Geese and Raccoons will not have to burn through those CO2 bottles. There is some video's of a conversion to make these fire select fire. Doubt I will bother with learning how but it did look like the guys doing it were having some fun with them

I've had bats by every door in my house since I moved out at 17 and still do.
the classic baseball bat and the arguably even more classic hand crossbow
Baseball bats are getting kind of expensive. An axe handle will do just fine, and is quite a bit cheaper.
I see all of your boring plain bats, and raise you my Davranov "Walking Dead" inspired "Lucille" Bat with barbed wire and custom leather wrap and patches, currently hanging on the wall just outside my Panic Room:

1" dia x 36" long Oak (higher density) wooden dowel sanded down and soaked in boiled linseed oil. Tape to help keep it in your hand.

Keep in mind the formula foe Kinetic Energy:

KE= 1/2mv^2

Velocity is more important for a KE transfer than mass. Mass has a linear association with an increase in force while Velocity has an exponential increase in force. Aka a doubling in Velocity is a greater increase in force than a doubling In mass. Therefore for non lethal I usually go for light and fast. Quick follow ups too. Also the extra length is beneficial for all kinds of things, including the increase in velocity mentioned above. 36" seems to be a good length for close quarters.
