Started one yesterday 12/20 and I was around 1100 +/- in the que. Dealer told me to expect Saturday or later. I told him I will see him after Christmas.

While I usually get instant approvals I have been placed in the queue a few times, sometimes when the queue was relatively short (90 or so). From what I gather, they seem to average around 2/min to clear each, sometimes a bit better, sometimes a bit worse. That figures to around 420 per day, since they operate 14 hours per day (of course you gotta figure if you get into the queue at 8pm that clock only runs for 2 more hours before they call it a night and pick up again in the morning).

3pm on Monday 12/18 I was 1030 in the queue. Today 12/21 at 3pm (72 hours later) I am 100 in the queue. It appears they are currently getting through roughly 300 clears per day or about 10 clears per hour (given 10 hour days). Have my CHL, first time ever going into the queue.

If I'm not mistaken they work 14 hours a day 8AM-10PM. So based on your numbers, each person in the queue averages 2.7 minutes to clear but they do indeed get through only around 300/day (310 to be more exact). Also it should be noted they're off on Thanksgiving and Christmas so there will be zero progress on Monday.

Data point for the collective- went in to NW Armory right when they opened at 10am, and bought a GRAIL gun- freaking Sig MCX Spear LT, in 300BLK!! I got another instant approval. Since the last time I was there a few months ago, they have installed an electronic NICS kiosk which is pretty slick- you enter all your data electronically on the touchpad/keyboard, and then they submit it. It is actually really nice and better IMO then paper form, as occasionally when the person is entering it in the computer there can be a typo which will delay you, so this way you can electronically review everything before it submits!

Queue was around 2000 at 1030, , but that make sense for it being right before Christmas. Lady assisting me was very nice, said that the queue had been moving slowly the last couple of days, most likely due to short staffing from the holiday I would imagine. Anyways happy to take this home ;-)

I was in que for a gun two days ago and i was like in the 7000s it took two days to clear so I had to come back for it.

Another instant for me.

Only time I have never had a instant is when I made the mistake of trying to buy a pistol for Sportsman and the GEDs behind the counter entered my info wrong and put me in the queue which they were able to cancel, and I drove over to NWA and got an instant approval.

Congrats bolt_308 on a beautiful piece!
