Oregon NICS current wait

Went in Tuesday to get my 2 M16A2 marked PSA lowers from 5150 Tactical. Took about a hour and half to get cleared to bring them home

Edit. It was Tuesday that they arrived lol. My bad. Didn't feel like it's been 2 days

Braved the black Friday madness this AM at sportsman's and the guy there said the queue was at over 400 and said it'd likely be 3-4 days. That doesn't sound right? Anyone have any other insight on the current wait/pace of NICS? Even with my chl I get out to the back of the line each time. I don't wanna wait 4 days for my new pew

Maybe it's 2 days to get through the que then 2 days for sportsman's to get off their a$$ and call you would be my guess.

Hahaha yeah that's kinda what I was assuming. I told him, "so 400ish in line maybe tomorrow or Sunday?" And he just laughed. To be fair the gun counter was absolute madness within 1hr of opening. Those guys are gonna have a loooooong day

You'd think a seller of firearms like Sportsman's would have a better system for "Black Friday "figured out our any other time. I know they can't speed up the background checks but there call back on approvals is horrible.

They are crap imo. Ordered a gun online which said in stock, then it said ready for pickup. Go to store they can't find it. Then to two other people and finally magaer says "we've never even seen on of those". Then can't refund my $. Then have to call 1-800 number to get my money back in 3-7 days. What a bubbleguming joke.

I really believe they go out of their way to make sure your experience with them sucks as much as possible.

This is why I never go to cableas. Their staff clearly doesn't wanna be there and it's just staffed with a bunch of fudds. Dude behind the counter a few years ago recommend a taurus judge for my girlfriend to concealed carry because "you dont have to aim as much"

Last Friday 11/17 I was #225 @ 4:00pm. Received the call to pick up the following morning at 11:30am. Sportsmans though... they've never called me for pickup. If I don't get an instant with them, I have had to call them or show up and ask.

I was in Salem on Black Friday and at two different shops between 4-5pm. The queue was in the upper 900's. I didn't bother buying anything as I'm from the east side and was leaving town. Clerk at Tick Licker said about half had been instant approvals during the day but there was no rhyme or reason to it. Still stuck buying local.

Just remember that we were close to 40,000 in queue length not that long ago. Do your purchases and/or transfers at a shop that does no response releases and then you won't have to fret about queue length.

Definitely is appreciated, if a little disconcerting. Was hoping to go to the Rickreall gun show this weekend but with a queue around 1000 that could present a problem. I usually get instant approvals but occasionally not, so it feels like a bit of a risk.

Overhead today that queue was at around 1650 as of around 1300 today.

I purchased on Mon 12/18 and was 1030 in the queue. It's Thursday 12/21 and no call yet. My guess is a few more days if they get through a few hundred per day. Christmas rush.
